I think it's so fascinating that Christians speak of salvation so differently.
I wonder . . .
is the intent the same?
or are the thoughts really as different as they sound?
From my Bible study today:
If you have never chosen Jesus as Lord of your life, you may be ready to pray this prayer . . .
Huh.
Lutherans never speak that way.
We are always quick to point out John 15:16 when Jesus says:
You did not choose me. I chose you and sent you out to produce fruit, the kind of fruit that will last.
Different language.
Different meanings . . . ?
Choose. Accept.
or
Chosen. Accepted. Marked. Washed. Robed.
Gift. Grace.
Always a flood of grace.
Amen!
